Cat Declawing, It's Not What You Think!

A lot of people in the Clayton County area call us asking about declawing their cats. The majority of those people think that declawing simply removes a cat's nail or that is the equivalent to have human nails trimmed. Sadly, this is far from the truth. Declawing your cat involves the amputation of the last bone of each toe. It's is like surgically removing the last knuckle of each of your fingers.

If you are considering declawing your cat, we recommend to have a consultation with your veterinarian about other alternatives to this painful surgical procedure.  One of those alternatives can be the use of Soft Paws Vinyl Caps. Most groomers and veterinary hospitals can do this easy procedure. Soft Paws are so easy to apply that you can do it yourself at home. Please watch the following short video on how to apply Soft Paws at home.
